On Thursday evening last week, our school board passed the co-op agreement with Wesclin for the following sports: high school girls basketball, high school softball and high school girls soccer.  This means that next school year, any girls interested in playing those sports will travel to Wesclin high school for practices and games.  More specific information will be shared as we finish developing our plan for participation with Wesclin in those 3 sports.  This agreement is for 2 years and we will review the agreement in 2025 and decide if it will continue for 2 more years after that.  This co-op was formed as our projected numbers over the next few years were low enough that it was likely we could not field a team in girls basketball or softball.  Our goal is to hopefully end the co-op in 2 years or 4 years after working hard to increase our numbers in those 2 sports.  Please feel free to reach out to Mr. Cruthis at ccruthis@lcusd9.org if you have any questions or concerns.
