In the Greyhounds second outing of the year, all golfers improved on their previous scores. Although the Lebanon Golfers haven't competed as a squad yet, they have made steady improvement. Despite not competing as a team, Brandon Ogden shined with a personal best 43 on the difficult Ann Briar Course in Waterloo. "Willie" William Nordmann struggled early on. After gathering himself, he managed to make adjustments in his swing and finished strong over the last 3 holes, shooting a 61, also a personal best, improving by 5 strokes. Finishing out the scoring was Jacob Reeser. Jacob will need to find a new goal since he improved by over 5 strokes and broke 60.
When The Hills closed early this spring, the future of Lebanon Golf was uncertain. We had one returning golfer and no place to play or practice. Luckily, and thankfully, Scott AFB agreed to grant us access to one of the best courses in the area, Cardinal Creek Golf Course. We are a very young and inexperienced team, but we're improving and getting better everyday and the future looks bright.
The golfing Greyhounds will be back in action on Thursday, 31 August @ Governor's Run in Carlyle.
